Setting that aside, the TIEs are really being misused here. (I think some do carry them) The lasers on the TIEs are at beast around a MJ or so, not enough to be a real threat to the BoP without its shields, let alone with its shields.
The squadron would need to have bombers with proton torpedoes or the TIEs in question would need to be retrofitted with protons. Maybe a FO TIE could do it, but a GE TIE does not carry that kind of firepower. This is simply not possible with the TIEs that we've seen in the GE era. So probably we'd need a dozen MJ to deal any serious damage to their hull. In any case, if we assume that a BoP's weapons are strong enough to penetrate the hull of another BoP in one shot-well, we're talking about 19.54 to 35.78 megawatts.
